Operations Manager

In this critical role, you will oversee daily operations, drive process improvements and ensure exceptional service delivery within a dynamic automotive logistics environment. The location employs about 130-200 blue collar employees in 3 shifts and 20-30 white collar employees in 3 shifts or daytime. You will report to the Site Manager.

Responsibilities

• Operational Oversight: Lead plant operations to meet company goals and KPIs, ensure smooth shift coordination, timely order completion, and regulatory compliance;
• Process Improvement: Drive efficiency and cost reduction through process optimization;
• Team Leadership: Mentor and manage staff, collaborate with key stakeholders, and promote a culture of teamwork and accountability;
• Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality standards, address product or operational issues proactively;
• Strategic Planning: Align operations with company objectives and provide performance reports to management.

Function Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within the logistics or automotive sector;
• Proven experience leading teams in a production or logistics environment;
• Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage complex operations;
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset;
• Expertise in operational planning, efficiency optimization, and quality management;
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both verbal and written, knowledge of French or other languages is a plus;
• Results-oriented, with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction;
• Flexible, structured, and resilient in fast-paced and dynamic environments;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels;
• You live in Belgium or are willing to travel to Ghent.
