A Quality Specialist in a company specializing for the health and wellness market plays a critical role in ensuring product safety, regulatory compliance, and market competitiveness across food, biomedical, and pharmaceutical sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee quality assurance and control processes ensuring compliance with industry standards and sector-specific regulations (e.g., food safety, GMP, ISO).
• Develop, implement, and monitor quality management systems tailored to the unique properties and applications of collagen and gelatin in food, health supplements, biomedical devices, and pharmaceuticals .
• Conduct risk assessments and manage traceability for raw materials, especially when sourcing from alternative or marine origins to address safety, sustainability, and religious concerns.
• Lead internal and external audits, manage documentation, and ensure readiness for regulatory inspections across all target markets.
• Stay updated on innovations in precision fermentation, sustainable sourcing, and new applications in health, food, and biomedical fields.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or related field.
• Experience in quality assurance/control in food, health, biomedical, or pharmaceutical industries.
• Knowledge of sector-specific regulations (e.g., FDA, EFSA, ISO, GMP) and quality management systems .
• Familiarity with analytical methods for protein characterization, bioactivity testing, and process validation .
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
