Freelance E&I Technicus

For a customer in Antwerp in the industrial automation domain, I am searching for freelance E&I Technicians to work in a tank terminal Project Team in the harbor.

You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving electrical and instrumentation systems on-site. You will work closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure the reliable operation of pumps, valves, sensors, and control systems used in the storage and transfer of chemical and petrochemical products. In addition, you will also support small mechanical interventions and collaborate efficiently with mechanical maintenance teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems
• Assist in troubleshooting process control and automation issues to minimize downtime
• Support commissioning and calibration of instrumentation and control devices
• Work with mechanical components such as pumps, valves, and piping systems when necessary
• Ensure compliance with safety and ATEX standards in all E&I work activities
• Participate in on-call rotations or shutdown activities when required

Profile

• Technical diploma or degree in Electromechanics, Industrial Electricity, or Instrumentation
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar E&I technician role, preferably in tank storage, petrochemical, or process industries
• Good understanding of process instrumentation, control loops, and electrical systems (low voltage)
• Knowledge of mechanical systems (pumps, seals, piping)
• Strong focus on safety, accuracy, and teamwork
