Director, Finance TAA Europe Region West


The Role

We are seeking a commercially astute and strategically minded Director of Finance to lead financial operations for the TAA Europe Region West (Belgium, Netherlands, UK). This is a senior leadership role with full regional P&L accountability and responsibility for driving financial strategy, operational excellence, and sustainable growth. The role may be based in the UK, Belgium, or the Netherlands, reflecting the regional scope of responsibility and cross-border leadership nature of the position.

As a trusted partner to the Region West General Manager and a key member of the regional leadership team, you will provide financial insight, governance, and strategic direction to accelerate revenue, EBITA, and cash performance across a diverse and evolving portfolio. This role requires strong executive presence, cross-border financial expertise, and the ability to operate effectively in a business shaped by digital transformation, cloud technology, and AI-enabled innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership

  • Serve as the primary financial advisor to the Region West General Manager.
  • Lead the development and execution of regional financial strategy aligned with divisional objectives.
  • Drive year-over-year growth acceleration in revenue, EBITA, and cash performance.
  • Provide financial insight to support commercial strategy, pricing decisions, and innovation monetization.

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Lead annual strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Deliver robust financial modelling and scenario analysis to support decision-making.
  • Translate strategic vision into operational and financial execution plans.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Full accountability for the Region West financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
  • Oversee statutory reporting and regulatory compliance in:
    • Belgium
    • Netherlands
    • United Kingdom
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, local GAAP, VAT, tax regulations, and internal control requirements.
  • Maintain strong governance and risk management frameworks.

Operational Excellence & Complexity Reduction

  • Harmonize financial systems and processes across the region to increase transparency and efficiency.
  • Simplify organizational structures and improve operational effectiveness.
  • Monitor and control costs to ensure optimal resource allocation.

Commercial & Innovation Support

  • Partner with Sales to ensure pricing reflects inflation, value creation, and evolving commercial models.
  • Evaluate and support investment opportunities and strategic initiatives.
  • Provide financial input into product roadmap decisions.

M&A & Corporate Development

  • Support merger and acquisition activity including financial due diligence, valuation modelling, and integration planning.
  • Assess financial stability of acquisition and divestment targets.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing regional finance team across multiple countries.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and consistency across regional and functional finance teams.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with executive leadership, auditors, regulatory bodies, financial institutions, and other key stakeholders.
  • Present financial results and insights confidently to senior leadership and boards.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field (required)
  • Master's degree or MBA preferred

Experience

  • Minimum 15 years of progressive FP&A or finance leadership experience.
  • At least 10 years leading teams and managing financial operations for a significant revenue line of business.
  • Proven track record managing multi-entity P&Ls across diverse markets.
  • Experience supporting organic growth, corporate development initiatives, alliances, joint ventures, and M&A.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and internal control frameworks.
  • Experience operating in digitally transforming environments, including cloud-based and AI-driven business models.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive cross-functional alignment.
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to convert strategic ambition into financial performance.
