This role is based in Brussels , within a structured organisation operating in a demanding environment in terms of accounting, tax and compliance .

The accounting function plays a central role, with direct responsibility for the reliability of financial information, tax compliance and interaction with management and external stakeholders.

Role and key responsibilities in accounting, tax and leadership

• Oversee the full accounting scope to ensure accurate, timely and compliant closings, providing management with confidence in the numbers.
• Manage tax and regulatory obligations, bringing clarity, anticipation and risk control to the organisation.
• Lead and develop a team of at least 2 FTEs , creating structure, accountability and professional growth.
• Act as the main point of contact for auditors, tax advisors and external partners, representing the function with credibility.
• Drive improvements in accounting processes and internal controls to strengthen financial quality and governance.

Your background and experience in accounting and tax

• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, tax, audit or a related finance role.
• Proven ability to lead and coordinate a team , with experience managing at least 2 FTEs .
• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent.
• Experience within fiduciary or insurance is a plus

• Gross annual salary between €75,000 and €95,000 , depending on experience and managerial scope.
