The Sales Engineer plays a key role in developing and maintaining customer relationships, identifying new opportunities, and ensuring successful project handover and execution.


Responsibilities

The role includes a blend of the following activities:

  • Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities (“hunter mentality”) while nurturing long-term partnerships with existing clients. Prepare offers, follow up on proposals, and ensure seamless handover to the execution teams.
  • Translate client needs into tailored technical and commercial solutions. Take proactive actions to safeguard project margins and deliver high-quality results that meet both customer and internal expectations.
  • Monitor account receivables, ensuring timely payments and healthy cash flow. Keep the CRM system (Salesforce) consistently updated and prepare regular sales and project performance reports.


Competences and Skills

  • Ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Background in electromechanical or industrial engineering.
  • Experience in technical sales, both in equipment and mounting activities.
  • Solid project management and problem-solving abilities.


Qualifications

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Electromechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Track record in technical sales or project-based environments.
  • Fluency in Dutch, French, and English.
