Mechanical Technical Expert

We ARE looking for a Mechanical Technical Expert for one of our clients in the offshore wind industry, to join them on a permanent/staff basis.
As a Technical Expert within our client's Fleet Department, you will join a dynamic team responsible for the fleet's mechanical integrity and optimization, specializing in domains like Gearboxes or Propulsion while maintaining a broad engineering perspective.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support and expertise within one of our expert domains (e.g., Gearboxes, Propulsion, or other supporting systems).
  • Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and troubleshooting of mechanical failures within your area of expertise.
  • Support engineering projects focused on innovation, sustainability, and efficiency improvements.
  • Liaise with suppliers, classification societies, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with industry standards.
    • Requirements / Your profile:
  • Minimum of bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (or a related field) or equivalent through experience.
  • Preferred 3 years of relevant experience in a technical engineering role (maritime industry experience is a plus).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to fleet locations or project sites (20%).
  • Fluent in English; verbal and written.
