Position: SHEQ Officer
For a large, long-term project for one of our clients, we are looking for a driven SHEQ Coordinator, where SHEQ stands for Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality. In this role, you will be the point of contact for your colleagues regarding prevention & safety, well-being, environment, and quality.
Your future responsibilities as a SHEQ Coordinator in bullet points:
- Conducting workplace and site inspections: coaching employees, identifying SHEQ risks, proactively correcting potentially hazardous situations, taking preventive and corrective actions, etc.
- Developing and distributing information and communications regarding SHEQ: assisting with the preparation of toolbox meetings, safety newsletters, safety alerts, site visits, one-on-one meetings, etc.
- Providing SHEQ training to employees and SHEQ introductions to (new) colleagues.
- Actively and efficiently support managers and supervisors during incidents and accident investigations. Implement measures to prevent similar accidents in the future and monitor compliance with the measures taken.
- Preparing reports and providing information on various SHEQ topics: inspection reports, risk assessments, frequency and severity percentages, etc.
- Assist the SHEQ Manager in optimizing and monitoring SHEQ policies, procedures, and instructions. Proactively propose ideas, action plans, and improvements.
Profile requirements
We are looking for a driven SHEQ Coordinator who isn't content with the status quo but strives for the best results and the most efficient optimizations. You work accurately and systematically . You detect risks and problems , but also think in terms of solutions and know how to translate them into reality (strong hands-on mentality and determination). With the necessary assertiveness and persuasiveness, you coach people on-site. You have strong communication skills: you can convey every message clearly and convincingly to various target groups.
- Prevention advisor level 2
- Experience as a SHEQ Coordinator / Prevention Advisor in an (international) technical project environment.
- Strong communication skills in English (other languages is a plus)
- Flexible attitude towards tasks and hours.
