A prestigious global consultancy located in West Flanders seeking a Network Security Engineer with Fortinet Expertise for a significant engagement.

Job Description:

• Extending and optimizing Fortinet firewall configurations.
• Implementing FortiProxy and FortiMail solutions.
• Supporting network refresh and data center renewal initiatives.
• Contributing to the rollout of Privileged Access Management (PAM)
• Collaborating with cybersecurity partners such as Phished and Darktrace.
• Maintain and improve the global Fortinet-based network infrastructure (firewalls, VPNs, FortiSwitches, FortiProxy, FortiMail).
• Implement network segmentation, security policies, and SD-WAN configurations.
• Participate in data center renewal and hardware replacement projects (Lenovo → next-gen infrastructure).
• Troubleshoot network and security incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and strong protection.
• Collaborate with SOC and external partners on vulnerability management (Tenable) and phishing awareness campaigns (Phished).
• Provide technical input for new CRM and SAP system integrations.
• Document network designs, configurations, and incident response procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Networking, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in network and security engineering.
• Proven expertise with Fortinet technologies (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiProxy, FortiMail).
• Experience with VPN, routing, and switching (LAN/WAN).
• Familiar with Tenable, Darktrace, or similar vulnerability and detection tools.
• Knowledge of PAM solutions is a plus.
• Good understanding of Microsoft environments (Active Directory, O365, Entra ID).
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Fluent in Dutch , English is a strong asset.
