Your Role as Road Manager

As Road Manager , you will play a crucial role in optimizing our international road transport network, ensuring it remains efficient, cost-effective, and high-performing.

You’ll oversee everything from procurement and route planning to supplier management and team leadership, making a direct impact on operations customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Transport Optimization

• Analyze and enhance road transport operations to improve performance and cost efficiency.
• Design efficient transport routes and oversee daily operations to ensure punctuality and service quality.
• Monitor KPIs, report on performance, and implement corrective actions when needed.

Procurement & Supplier Management

• Lead tenders and negotiate contracts with transport providers in compliance with Belgian & EU procurement laws.
• Secure the best price/quality agreements while maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Stakeholder & Communication Management

• Act as the main point of contact for internal teams and external partners.
• Collaborate with global partners to establish and maintain transport agreements.
• Ensure accurate data flows for all international transport activities.

Team Leadership & Financial Oversight

• Manage and mentor a team of transport planners, supporting their professional growth.
• Verify transport invoices with Finance and resolve discrepancies with suppliers.

Your Profile

We’re looking for a people-oriented leader with strong analytical skills, a passion for logistics, and a talent for optimizing processes.

What You Bring:

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Expertise in procurement, logistics, and transport regulations .
• Strong negotiation, communication, and networking skills across diverse cultures.
• A solution-driven mindset with excellent analytical abilities.
• Fluency in Dutch, French, and English .
• Resilience under pressure , flexibility, and keen attention to detail.
