About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic team as a Business Developer – Airport Systems, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping our future in the digital industry.
- You will be responsible for prospecting and managing leads, identifying and assessing project opportunities, and collaborating with various teams to create technically suitable and innovative solutions.
- You will prepare financial models and offers, conduct analyses, and lead negotiations for significant project contracts in collaboration with different departments (Legal, Operational).
- You will deliver input to commercial software solutions developments on the tri-baggage solutions to improve functionality and earnings models.
- You will define commercial strategy in collaboration with the Department Manager, prioritizing and investing for the future.
- You will build relationships with clients and stakeholders, understanding their needs and providing persuasive proposals.
- You will build partnerships with external partners to offer a complete solution to our clients.
- You will contribute to a positive team dynamic, building strong partnerships with operational managers and ensuring a shared focus on achieving P&L objectives.
Your ProfileTo succeed in this role, you will require:
- A degree in civil, industrial, or commercial engineering or a master's in an economics-related field with a good technical understanding.
- At least five years of experience in business development, sales, and commercial developments.
- Analytical and organizational skills to manage complex projects, understand risks, and solve problems.
- Knowledge and experience in technical design, project management, coordinating various stakeholders, and closing transactions is a strong plus.
- Understanding of financial concepts.
- Able to build and maintain relationships with (potential) clients.
- Independent, flexible, and able to work in a multicultural/multilingual environment.
- Fluent in English and French with a good knowledge of the second national language Dutch.
