Head of Compliance and Risk Management

We are seeking a seasoned professional to assume the role of Head of Compliance, responsible for overseeing our Anti-Money Laundering (AML) program and ensuring its alignment with regulatory requirements. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be instrumental in maintaining a robust compliance culture and implementing effective risk management strategies.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of AML regulations, including EU Directive and Belgian AML Law, as well as experience in senior leadership roles within financial services. Strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels will be essential in this position.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will also need to demonstrate strong leadership qualities, including the ability to promote a compliance-first mindset and foster a culture of integrity and ethics within the organization.

• Design and implement an AML framework that ensures the institution's policies, procedures, and internal controls are robust, proportionate, and aligned with business activities and ML/FT risk profile.
• Ensure consistency between AML measures and operational processes across all business lines and alignment with groupwide AML strategies.
• Provide regular, comprehensive, and timely AML/CFTP risk and compliance reports to senior management and regulators.
• Maintain transparent arrangements with supervisory authorities and ensure confidentiality of suspicious transaction reports.

• University degree in law, finance, economics, risk management, or related field.
• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in financial services, preferably with experience in compliance, risk, audit, or AML functions.
• Proven experience in senior leadership or board-facing roles.

• An attractive annual gross salary package of around Euro 120,000 depending on experience.
