Functional Analyst Job Opportunity


About the Role


The College of Europe seeks a skilled Functional Analyst to join their ICT Office. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Director ICT Office and assume key responsibilities in the digitalization of the institution's operations.

The Functional Analyst will be responsible for translating user needs into smart solutions, collaborating on the development of a new CRM system, and contributing to the modernisation of the Student Information System (SIS).


Key Responsibilities:



  • Design, configure, and support the new CRM system alongside the ICT architect.

  • Play a central role in the modernisation of the Student Information System (SIS).

  • Analyse needs of internal stakeholders and translate them into clear functional requirements and technical specifications.

  • Help think about process optimisation and take the initiative to improve existing working methods.

  • Guide changes among end-users: listen, explain, support, and ensure everyone is on board.

  • Consult with external suppliers, follow up on implementations, and monitor the quality of services provided.

  • Work with colleagues from different teams and keep an eye on integration with other systems within the institution.

  • Support projects from A to Z: analysis, planning, testing, implementation, and follow-up.


Requirements


For this position, the College is looking for candidates with:

  • A bachelor's degree.

  • Minimum five years' experience as a Functional Analyst or in a similar role.

  • Excellent command of English and Dutch; knowledge of French is considered a plus.

  • Solid interest in (or experience with) ERP and CRM systems, ideally also familiar with software development lifecycle and frameworks.

  • A strong motivation and eagerness to learn, to be and stay up-to-date with the latest know-how in your field.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both with technical teams and non-technical end-users.

  • An analytical mind and a listening ear.

  • Experience as a bridge builder between ICT and the business.

  • Familiarity with project management.

  • A proactive, precise, and project-based approach.

  • Ability to work autonomously and as a member of a diverse team.
