Senior Digital Assets Professional


The IT Asset Officer role involves overseeing the entire lifecycle of IT assets within an organization, ensuring effective governance and alignment with strategic digital initiatives. This includes ensuring transparency, cost-efficiency, and sustainability in managing IT hardware, software, and licensing assets.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Maintain a centralized and accurate inventory of all IT assets (Hardware, software, licenses).
  • Ensure asset lifecycle management in accordance with public sector procurement and disposal regulations.
  • Monitor software licensing to guarantee compliance and avoid legal or financial risk.
  • Collaborate with procurement, Finance, and internal audit teams to ensure transparent and compliant asset acquisition and tracking.
  • Implement policies and procedures related to asset registration, usage, and decommissioning.
  • Coordinate asset audits and reconcile discrepancies in asset records.
  • Provide reports to support internal and external audits, financial planning, and decision-making.
  • Support digital transformation and sustainability goals through optimized asset use and responsible disposal.

Required Skills and Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in IT asset management or IT operations, preferably in the public sector.
  • Knowledge of public procurement rules and regulations (e.g., national or EU standards).
  • Proficiency with IT asset management tools and systems (e.g., ServiceNow, GLPI, SCCM).
  • Familiarity with software license compliance and vendor management.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Understanding of public sector accountability, transparency, and governance requirements.
